Chinese animation has always been good, it’s just people aren’t used to watching an anime in Chinese, and people usually compare the Japanese sub to Chinese sub(from what I have seen).

I like Chinese animation some great ones to watch are;
Hitori No Shita- the outcasts, The daily life of immortal King, The king avatar, and Fog Hill of Five elements

Any of those dubbed in something else then chinese? I bet there are good chinese animations out there but i just can't stand hearing the language no matter what. Its like scratching a chalkboard. Insufferable.

Same here. I don't know if the mother language affects it but for me it sounds extremely wrong and even annoying. Russian too but this case is different since it sounds 10% like my language and it's insufferable because you constantly get the feeling like they try to speak your language but they are having a stroke.

The Grandmaster of Cultivation is dubbed japanese. It's also beautifully animated.

Sorry dude. Even I don't watch those except for fog hill which is a short I think. The VA and direction isn't there yet. To be fair, many Japanese animation are equally shitty too. However people tend to favor and ignore if it's from Japan.

Yea I love hitori no shita, but as you pointed out I'm not a fan of the Chinese language, usually they speak so fast I cannot read the subs quickly enough before they begin saying something else. It's like people speaking rapid fire Spanish no opportunity to comprehend it at all. I'd sell my soul for a Japanese dub of the thirds season, I think they messed up not dubbing it.

You are so right on trying to keep up with the subtitles, it’s so fast (most of the time) that I find it funny.

I think it would be odd to have a Chinese anime be dubbed into Japanese, that would be odd for the creator and their intended purpose and their culture.

Imagine if Chinese sub was the first thing you watched since day one, and watched multiple anime and you come across Japanese sub and it probably came off as odd to you, and hard to get into it (that’s if Chinese sub was more popular than Japanese sub).

Yea but the first 2 seasons of hitori no shita have a Japanese dub, so for the third season not to its pretty jarring. I dont believe it would be odd for the creator either, look how many Japanese anime are dubbed in English, I really only started watching subs because I didn't have the patience to wait for the dub or the show I wanted to watch never got an English sub. Honestly I think it didn't get a Japanese dub or English dub because of souring relations between the three nations. I do like quite a few Chinese anime, but they're always subbed way to fast, it's pretty inaccessible for many people. Nobody wants to stop the show every sentence to find out what's going on and break the action, I'm a very very fast reader but some not all Chinese anime subs are just ridiculously rapid fire... you come across it in some Japanese subs but not nearly as frequently. Honestly I don't believe the Chinese want other nations to watch their anime if they don't speak the language and subbers agree and make it intentionally difficult.

Yeah make sense, Japanese does get dubbed in my different languages so it shouldn’t be odd for the creator of Hitori no shita to get a Japanese dub.
The people who do subtitles for Chinese anime’s that are quick with their tongue deserve something good in their life.

They should do Holyland; Vagabond and the Manhwa The Boxer too. Would be crazy

Biggest problem with vagabond is the same one that plagued Berserk as an animation, they just have been in production for over 30 years, so it enters the same trouble that game of thrones had, the moment the animation reaches the manga (in game of thrones case the story, aka book 5)

Or you end up creating the rest of the story or the animation enters an infinite hiatus (which no studio would be inclined to be part of)

Literally Link Click is Ranked like top 50 on Mal for a Chinese anime and the Op was also Chinese and I must say its rather good Kings Avatar and Dragon Raja also have killer animation. Spare me Great Lord also has insanely good art from its opening tho I haven't watched that one. Give it a try especially Link Click

Many people have claimed online that this is going to be the anime of the year. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Right now there is at least powerful many contenders with Demon Slayer, Totokawa and the 2 just premiered today.

also jjk season 2 shibuya arc and gojo past and some other heavy hitters ( and fairytail 100 year quest and fire force new season this are the one i am also waiting for to drop)
